May 22, 1926 – June 11, 2009
WILLMAR — Thelma Lindsoe, 83, of Willmar, died Thursday at Rice
Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church in
Willmar. Burial will be at noon Monday at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born May 22, 1926, near Spicer to Ole N. and Helga (Wig)
Wareberg. She attended school at District 33 near Kandiyohi. She later
moved with her family to a farm west of Willmar and attended District 80
– Priam School. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1944.
She married Rial M. Lindsoe on June 20, 1947. They lived their entire
married life in Willmar. She owned and operated Thel’s Ceramic Shop for
20 years.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church for many years, served as a
Sunday School teacher for 10 years, worked with the Advent Festival since
it began, served on Altar Guild, sang in the choir and was a Luther League
adviser. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway and sang in the
Norwegian Choir.
She is survived by her husband; children: Jayne (and Tony) Forsythe of
McAllister, Mont., Kristi Lindsoe (and Jim Oelkers) of Becker, Paul (and
Lori) Lindsoe of Three Forks, Mont.; six grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; sister: Hazel Peterson of Spicer; and a brother:
Norman (and Carol) Wareberg of Westhills, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Donald H. Peterson, born August 15, 1920, in Rochester, MN,
and longtime resident of North Mankato.
He is preceded in death by his parents
Harry and Signe (Schedin) Peterson and his brother Bob Peterson.
Don passed away on April 4, 2009,
holding the hand of his loving wife, Mabel. He is also survived by
his brother Howard; sisters Jerry Golding, Louise Murphey, and
Doreen (Russ) Sherman; three sons Chuck (Terry), Jim (Joanie), and
Steve (Mary); grandchildren Sarah (Tom) Suk, Emily (Marc) Boone, Sam
(Rashmi), Luke (Melissa), Kristen (Neil) Davies, Grace, Hannah
(Adam) Selby, Erika, and Elias; and great-grandchildren Maddie,
Anthony, Bella, Elle, Henry, and Eli. Don worked as a salesman for
Standard Oil Co and later operated service stations for Brennans
Direct Service and Derby Oil Co. He also worked for South Central
College and the Mankato Tennis Club. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942
and served as a signalman in the Armed Guard Merchant Marine during
World War II until 1945. Don and his wife Mabel (Lindsoe) were
happily married for 61 years. He loved music, sports and the
outdoors. In 1947-48, Don helped the Mankato Vikings win the Class B
men’s state hockey tournament. He was an avid tennis player and
golfer until age 86. Every year, he looked forward to the
traditional fishing opener trip with “the fellas.” He and Mabel
relished spending time at the cabin in Lake George, MN. Don loved to
joke and kept his sense of humor even in the last days of his life.
His contagious laughter, easy conversation, and warm heart were a
delight to anyone who met him and a cherished gift to his family and
friends. Ever enamored with his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, Grandpa Don was a brilliant light in all of
their lives. He was truly a unique and unforgettable human being
with an irreplaceable presence in this world.
Funeral service Saturday, April 11, at
3:30 pm at Belgrade Ave. Methodist Church in North Mankato.
Visitation at the church one hour before the service.

Getting Website Setup!
Hello to all the Lindsoe's out there
My brother Scott & Me are working on getting a very
detailed family tree going and will be posting it on the website in the
next few months any help with your family history would be great, I am
looking for information such as: mothers, Fathers, Brothers & Sisters,
Birthdays, Deaths, Location, Location of Birth, Photos, Stories, Jobs, and
just about anything else you can provide.
If you have question about relatives and ancestors please
feel free to shoot me an e-mail with your questions. I am also using the
program called "Family Tree Maker" and can give you the data
file in that format or in GEDCOM 5.5 format if you are interested in
setting up your own family tree.
